Himachal Pradesh Chander Naun

The Chander Naun Lake is accessible to the experienced trekkers and is fed by many springs. This lake is situated in the Chanshal range. The lake is bedecked with snow for most of the time and is the source of the river Pabbar. It is considered to be a high altitude lake some 4,260 meters above sea level.

Kasauli: This shill station can be found about 77 kilometers away from Shimla. It has some amazing cobble-stone beauty of the British Raj. The hill station is lined with many magnificent little cottages all of them having neatly trimmed gardens and lovely fruit orchards. Here you will find many trees such as the Horse Chestnut trees, Chir Pines, Himalayan Oaks and the odd Juniper which runs along the two main roads. For art lovers there is an Arts Centre at the Ivy Cottage which has been built by the nephew of Amrita Shergill. Don’t forget to buy wool which is of the finest quality if you visit some of the Tibetan stalls that are located here.
Dalhousie: It is situated in the Dhauladhar Range amidst the banks of the Ravi River. This small hill station provides the adventure seekers the thrill of some great treks and white waters for rafting. The main attraction is the Jandhri Ghat, a palace encompassed with tall pine trees.

Chander Naun Lake is well connected through various modes like rail and road thus making it convenient for the tourists to come here. The lake is well connected with three airports (a) Jubbarati airport at Shimla (b) Guggal airport near Dharamsala and (c) Bhuntar airport near Kullu that links the state of Himachal Pradesh with the rest of the country.
