Karnataka Lingambudhi Lake
Lingambudhi Lake is a well known lake which consists of large varieties of birds in several different species. History
Lingambudhi Lake was developed by Krishnaraja Wodeyar III in remembrance of his beloved wife whose name was Lingajammanni. In year of 1828 AD this lake was constructed and covers an area of 260 acres. Also this Lake Lingambudhi comes under the Forest department control. This lake is situated at an altitude of 730 meters above the sea level and at southwest region of Mysore city.

This Lake is even measured as a native home for several migratory and national birds. Various kind of birds and their species can be viewed in different seasons. Even water birds such as spotted sandpiper, common teal, pint tail and thick billed green pigeons can be seen in lump sum quantities. Additionally this Lake has spotted around 210 birds and their species. Also this Lake Lingambudhi is taken as a healthy habitat lake for migratory birds.
