Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination doesn’t come under the Government education board. This board is completely private board of education in India. This board carries out two examinations like Indian Certificate of Secondary Education and the Indian School Certificate and these two are quite popular in the country. In 1956, Indian Council was arranged to manage the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate’s Examinations in India. CISCE board’s main office is in Delhi and it has schools and colleges in every part of India.
ICSE examination is suitable for those students who want to complete class X or just finished this standard. Pupils who are willing to pursue this examination ought to take seven subjects, and four of them are required.
ISC examination is for those students who are willing to complete four years of education in school that is class XII standard. And for this examination, one has to take up English and Environmental subjects and other subjects the candidate can chose from option.

Historical Background
In 1952, a conference was occurred for all India Certificate Examination and the chairman of this conference was Maulana Abdul Kalam Azaad, the education minister at the time. To replace Cambridge School certificate examination the conference was held. To arrange an Indian Council for Cambridge University and recommend the Syndicate a better way of examination system, a meeting was held in 1956 for the sake of India’s education.
The council was listed in 1967 and since 1973 the council got able to conduct public examination in Delhi school education.
