Kerala Mahadevar Temple Mararikulam
The famous Mahadevar temple is located in Mararikulam, Cherthala in Kerala. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is worshipped by devotees from far and wide. It is very holy and pious temple and is said to grant the wishes of the devotees that pray with full devotion. There are two deities of Lord Shiva that are being worshipped in this temple and they are known as Vadakkanappan and Thekkanappan. The temple is also wonderfully known for some of the best architectures of its time. This is one of the most famous ancient temples located in this region.
History
The temple is believed to be almost 700 years ago, though there are no official records as such to confirm this fact. However, it is believed that Villimanglam Swami built this famous temple.

The temple is located in Chertala which is well connected by roads, rail and air from the nearest cities. There are plenty of buses from different parts that run through this city, while Cochin International Airport is the nearest airport. Ernakulum Junction is located about 40 kms from this city and thus the temple in this city can be easily accessed.

The major events that are being celebrated in this temple include Navratri, Ashtami Rohini, Mahashivratri, Thiruvathira etc. During these festivals, thousands of devotees are attracted towards the temples where they come to seek the holy blessings of the Lord.
