Madhya Pradesh Gajanan Maharaj Temple
The temple is a sacred place for the devotees of Sadguru Shri Gajanan Maharaj. It is said that Gajanan Maharaj had various supernatural and spiritual powers and he knew the ultimate truth. The sacred Gajanan family constructed many Gajanan temples in various cities of the country. On every Thursday in the temple a sacred Satsangh is held and Maha Prasad distributed amongst the followers of Gajanan Maharaj.
History
The temple was constructed by the Gajanan family in 1988 when Shri Paliwal donated a land of around thirteen thousands square feet to the family on the day of sacred Basant Panchami. Then the sacred Bhumi Pujan was performed under the supervision of renowned Guru Baba. When the ritual of Bhumi Pujan was performed at the place, two important rooms were set up. In the room, large image of sacred Gajanan Maharaj was placed which is being worshiped by devotees these days. After the construction of the temple Satsangh was held and Maha Prasad distributed amongst the devotees. Hence, during Satsangh, devotes from all over the neighbouring cities gather here to have Maha Prasad. The idol of Gajanan Maharaj was installed on sacred Prakat Diwas in 1992. The sacred Ashtkoti is considered as Asht Siddhis or psychic abilities or powers of Gajanan Maharaj and greatly described in sacred Garud Sanhita. The Ashtkoit temple area covers total 2,200 feet. The construction work of the temple was completed in 1994.

Some of the nearest railway stations are Indore junior railway station only 3 km, Indore MG railway station also 3 km and Lakshmibai Nagar railway station 5 km distance from the temple. Hence, from railway station visitors or pilgrims can easily get local transport to reach at the temple.
By Air
Only 10 km distance from the temple, the Indore airport is situated that connects the city to all other parts of the country.
Weather and Time to Visit
Indore city has tropical climate. It means during summers temperature ranges from 34 to 44 degree Celsius while in winters it dropping down to 32 to 14 degree Celsius. However, monsoon which occurs in the month of July offers good rainfall. So the best time to reach at Gajanan Maharaj temple is from the months of October to March.
