Uttar Pradesh Shri Laxminarayan Mandir
Ayodhya city is considered among the most sacred and religious cities in India. The town is not only famous for its religious and mythological importance but also for its various religious sites and structures. The renowned Shri Laxminarayan Mandir or temple Hanumankund is among one of them. The sacred temple is devoted to its main deity Goddess Laxmi and Lord Narayana. The sacred temple is also famous for its incredible architecture that shows the true picture of Indian architecture.
History
The renowned Shri Laxminarayan Mandir or temple was constructed about 250 years ago by a king of Ayodhya. According to local people, Ayodhya king donated the land to Haygriv Maharaj, a saint. It is said that saint found an idol of God and installed it in the temple. The Ayodhya king not only donated the land but also a Kund or pond to Saint. The pond is now famous as Hanumankund. The festival of Navaratri is highly celebrated here and during the festival devotees from all over the neighboring cities gather here to have blessings of God.
Weather and time to visit
The tropical climate condition allows you to visit Ayodhya from the month of March to October since climatic conditions during summers and winters are extreme. Monsoon starts usually in the month of July and ends in the month of August-September.
