Chandrabadani is a sacred mountain which lies on the border of Tehsil Devapragya as well as Pratapnagar and is acknowledged for Chandrabadani Devi Temple which is based on the top of the mountain nearly 10 kms north to the Kandil Khal. The primary deity of this temple is Chandrabadani Devi who is worshipped by the people here. This temple is a small temple that contains a Shri Yantra which is carved out on flat rock stone rather than of any idol. Conventionally, a cloth canopy is tied to temple’s ceiling over the Shri Yantra every year while the Brahman priest who does this, must be blind folded.
History
As per the history, the torso of Sati, Lord Shiv’s wife fell here while all her weapons got scattered all over the place. Presently, this place has numerous iron trishuls while some old idols can be noticed lying all around this revered temple of Chandrabadani Devi.
