Uttaranchal Gwal Devta(goril) Temple
This temple was constructed by the King Harish Chandra of Champawat but exact dates are not know. No historical evidences are available to determine the correct dates of construction. It is a local belief that on need of any devotee, the God Gwal show the correct way of any problems. A prince in the area, who was also suffering some injustice from her step mother, was none other than Gwal Devta. Gwal even was thrown in river by her step mother and also jailed in a cage. But he did not shuttle from his way of truth. On his death, a temple was constructed in his memory and devotees started praying to him when faced any problem and solution was seen out of their reach.
