Known as an ancient temple of the Hindus, the Triyuginarayan Temple is located in Triyuginarayan village in Rudraprayag which is near Guptkashi, Uttrakhand. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishu and Mata Parvati. It is said that this venue holds immense religious importance. This place is a popular pilgrimage center. Besides, the special attraction of this temple is that there is a perpetual fire which burns before the temple. This flame is considered to have been burning since the time of marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati.
Hence forth this temple is also called the Akhand Dhuni Temple. The courtyard of this temple is also a source of fresh water stream that fills the four sacred bathing ponds.
History
This temple holds immense significance as this is the place from where Lord Vishnu saw the divine wedding of Lord Shiva and Parvati. As per the Hindu mythology, the wedding of Lord Shiva with Mata Parvati was formalized here by Lord Vishnu together with other sage. There is a holy flame which is called the havan kund. It is believed to be the eternal flame. Three other shrines called the Brahma Kund, Vishnu, and Kund Rudra are the kunds where Gods bathed. This water is considered to cure infertility.

The temple is open all round the year while is it advised that visiting during the months of July and August must be avoided as there are landslides that occur normally. Visiting during the months of October, April and May is considered to be ideal when it is Yatra time and no wonders you would face large crowd.
